Mangalore: Street Play on Child Abuse Highlight of Children’s Right Week

Mangalore, Nov 30: The Children’s Right Week organized by Prajna Counselling Centre is being observed in the city.

As part of the Week, a procession and street plays, were conducted by school students. Apart from this, pamphlets with information on children’s rights, harassment, and protection, were distributed among the public.

Prof Hilda Rayappan of Prajna Counselling Centre, inaugurated the week. Sulaiman Khandiga, scheme organizer, CCF unit, and Kavita Dinesh, president, gram panchayat, Moodshedde, were present on the occasion.

The procession commenced from the playground of Urban School in Moodshedde and ended at the gram panchayat office. The street play on child abuse was performed near the bus stops of Moodshedde, Pachchanady, and Ashoknagar.

Parents, public, and members of Prajna, accompanied the students during the procession.
