Udupi: ‘Melvik Mela’ Held for Students

Udupi, Nov 30: A ‘Melvik Mela’, including various study material, was held at Mahatma Gandhi Government Higher Primary School, recently. The Mela was jointly organized by the Public Education Department, Sarva Shikshana Abhiyan, Board of Education Office, and Education Resource Centre.

Speaking on the occasion, Nagesh Shanbhag, assistant director Board of Education Office, said that students must use self-prepared study material. Nityananda Valakad, member, city corporation, Ramesh Shettigar, and Ramdas, were present.

Neelavara Surendra Adiga, state resource person, delivered the keynote address on the occasion. G L Lalita, headmistress, welcomed the gathering.
