Mangalore, Nov 30: M B Abdul Rehman has been nominated for the ‘Baliyendra’ award, organized by the Tuluverenkulu Association, Bangalore. He will be presented the award in Bangalore on Sunday November 30.
Rehman has served as president of the Union Beary Parishat as well as president of Blood, Brain Biome Banking Trust. He has also been the vice-president, Dakshina Kannada District Wakf Committee.
He has previously been honoured with the Rajyotsava award for his service in the field of blood donation. Rehman’s work 'Bidugadeya Dari' has fetched him the state-level 'P Lankesh Award’, the 'Muslim Literature Award’ and the ‘Modala Kannadiga Award’ instituted by the Sharjah Kannada Sangh.
