Puttur: Ramdas Samaga Finally Conferred 'Yakshanjaneya Award'

Puttur, Nov, 28: Malpe Ramdas Samaga, senior yakshagana artiste was honoured with 'Yakshanjaneya' award by Anjaneya Yakshagana Kala Sangh, Anjaneya Yakshagana Mahila Kala Sangh and Anjaneya 40 Manikya in his house at Moodubettu in Udupi recently.

The award was conferred on him as a part of 'Anjaneya- 40 Manikya Sambrama' organized by Boluvar Anjaneya yakshagana Kala Sangh, Puttur.

The association had decided to felicitate the artiste on the occasion of Anjaney - 40 Manikya Sambrhama.  But it was postponed due to his illness. Accordingly the office-bearers of the Association later felicitated him in his house.

N K Jaganivas Rao, judge presided over the function. Ramanand Boluvar, honourary president felicitated Ramdas Samaga-Nagaratna couple on behalf of the committee.

M R Vasudev and T S Ambuja were the chief guests on the occasion.

Bhaskar Barya, president, Anjaneya Yakshagana Kala Sangh, Narayana Maniyani, B S Okkunaya, N Karanta Peraje, Bareppady Anantakrishna Bhat and Premalata Rao, office-bearers, Anjaneya- 40 Manikya Sambrama committee were present.

Bhaskar Shetty Salara welcomed the gathering. T Ranganath Rao proposed vote of thanks. Diwakar Gerukatte compered the programme.
