Moodbidri: Countdown Begins for Alvas ‘Nudisiri’

Moodbidri, Nov 28:
The countdown began on Thursday November 27 for the inaugural of Alvas ‘Nudisiri’, a national convention to promote Kannada culture, literature, and folklore, organized by Alvas Education Foundation.  
 
The inaugural programme will be held on Friday November 28, and will be presided over by Kannada eminent poet Dr Chennaveera Kanavi. The grand cultural procession to mark the convention will be held at 9.15 am on Friday November 28.  Eminent litterateur K S Nissan Ahmed will inaugurate the event.  


 
Nallur Prasad, MLA K Abhayachandra Jain, former minister K Amarnath Shetty, and Alvas Education Foundation chairman Dr M Mohan Alva will attend the programme to be held on Alvas campus.
 
Dr Kanavi will deliver the keynote address on ‘Kannada Pulse—Litterateur’s Responsibility to Unravel’.  Mamata G Sagar, Radhakrishna Uliyatadka, and Abdul Rashid, will deliver a talk on contrasts in Kannada.
 
Jayant Kaikini will grace the first ever poets’ session at Nudisiri.  Prof G Ashwattanarayan will felicitate the veteran of Kannada litterateurs. Sri Shivamurti Muruga Rajendra Sharana of Muruga Math, Chitradurga, will inaugurate the cultural programme.  Jayadevi Jangama Shetty will recite ‘vachana’ while Dr Satyanarayana Mallipatna elaborates. 
 
Prof Krishne Gowda and K Kotreshi Kale will stage a comedy show on the occasion.
