Mangalore: Workshop on Counterfeit Currency Awareness held for Bank Staff

Mangalore, Nov 26: The workshop on ‘Counterfeit Currency Circulation Awareness’, jointly organized by the Syndicate Bank,which is also the district lead bank and Reserve Bank of India, was held in the city, recently.

Speaking on the occasion K U Shanbhag, general manager, regional office, Syndicate Bank, said that as the circulation of fcounterfeit currency increases, it will harm the economical organization of the country. It is the duty of the bank staff to withhold the circulation of fcounterfeit currency through the bank’s branches, he said. 

Augustin Selvaraj, issue department, Reserve Bank of India, inaugurated the workshop. Over 130 staff members including currency check staff participated in the workshop. Uday Kumar Holla, manager, lead bank, coordinated the programme.
