Mangalore: AICUF National Seminar for Students from Nov 27

Mangalore, Nov 25: The All India Catholic University Federation Karnataka Region (AICUF), will organize a three-day national seminar on ‘University Students and Civil Society-An Interface’, at Fatima Retreat House from Thursday November 27. 

M P Noronha, president, Mangalore Diocese Catholic Advocates’ Guild, will inaugurate the seminar. Fr Swebert D’Silva, principal, St Aloysius College, will preside over the function. Dr D Jeevan Kumar, director, Centre for Gandhian Studies, Bangalore University, will deliver keynote address, stated a release. 

Fr Francis D’Almeida, state advisor, AICUF, said in the release that the seminar will be an opportunity for university students to learn ways to give their best to the development of society, look at society critically, and work towards the establishment of a just society order where human rights are upheld and the marginalized have a place to live in. Students from Manipur, Bihar, Delhi, West Bengal, Kerala, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Goa, and Karnataka, will participate.
