Mangalore: Focus on Traditional Arts in Sharada Vidyalay’s ‘Kreedotsav’

Mangalore, Nov 24: The ‘Kreedotsav’ (Sports Day) will be held at Sharada Vidyalaya Education Institution in Kodialbail on Tuesday November 25 at 6 pm. Students of the institution will display their mettle in physical events like ‘malla kamba’, rope yoga, fire stunts, ‘taleemu’, cycle balance, ring dance, ‘dandiya’, and others, said Prof M B Puranik, president of the Institution, in a press conference on Saturday November 22.

Over a thousand students of the institution will participate in the sports day. ‘Namma Kudla’ and ‘V4 Media’ will telecast the performances live throughout the city and Udupi district, he said. Mayor Ganesh Hosabettu, deputy commissioner M Maheshwar Rao, Jayant V Shetty, divisional superintendent of police, Panamboor, Bhaskar Kotian, president, Vishwa Hindu Parishat (VHP), and Madhusudan Rao, managing director, Campco, will be the chief guests.
 
K S Kallooraya, Dr Leela Upadhyaya, principal, Dayanand, and Pradeep Kumar Kalkura were present at the press conference.
