Development of temples in urban areas is essential for development, said Sri Vishweshwara Teerta Swami, Pejavar Math, Udupi, handing over the donated golden umbrella to the Sri Kshetra Barali Mahaganapati Temple here, recently.

Delivering the benedictory speech, Sri Vidyaprasanna Teerta Swami, Sri Kshetra Subramanya Math, said that we must strive to have religion and society shape our personality. MLA Haladi Srinivas Shetty presided over the function.

MLA Raghupathy Bhat, B K Hegde, member, zilla panchayat, Anagalli Karunakara Hegde, industrialist, as well as Heggunje Chavadimane Amarnat Shetty and Dhananjay Shetty, the donors of the golden umbrella, were present on the occasion.
