Udupi: Buffalo Butts Down Valerian Mathias of Santhoor to Death

Udupi, Nov 18: Valerian Mathias (46) from Santhoor village near Padubidri, who was injured after a buffalo butted him with its horns in the afternoon of Monday November 17, died later.

When a villager named Edward Mathias was leading his pair of buffaloes home, Valerian Mathias from Tacchila Mane, who happens to be Edward's relative, was coming from the opposite direction. One of the buffaloes suddenly rushed towards Valerian and butted his chest with horns, gravely injuring him in the process. He was immediately taken to the primary health centre of Mudarangady but could not be saved.

A case has been filed in the Padubidri police station in this regard.
