Secularism is in the blood of Indians. That is why so many religions flourish here. One bad person cannot change this attitude embedded in the Indian psyche for thousands of years.

This is highly provocative and condemnatory. Conspirators kindly note that, these kind of stupid provocation & defiling acts will recieve severe hindu backlash. I donot think Mangalorean catholics are involved in it. Its a clear job of NEWLIFE and sundries who are spweing hatred against hindus and hindu beliefs. Let the people behind these kind of crimes be exposed and severly dealth with. Now you know who are behind the miseries brought to peace loving konkani catholics in Mangalore few months ago.

As per my observation forcible conversion is very much aggressive through out India perticularly after Sonia became congress president. Money comes from foriegn country for converting hindus to christianity. Tactfully these converting organizations kept out of Bishops control so that they can simply say they are not behind these conversion activities. There is a target to these organization to convert hindus to christians. This is the root cause of all the communal tensions in India.

I agree that the evidence is infront of our eyes. Here, I am sure Mr. D'souza is simply used as "Ink" on a plain paper by someone. He must have been bribed by another culprit(s) do do so. Money is everything rises even a dead body from death. I feel ashamed also for being Mr. D'souza has done this since he is senior citizen in our Christian community.

I dont think it is the idea or work of the arrested man alone. Can we hear more about this case to find the truth. If he is mentally inbalanced, he should be forgiven . If he is being used by some one, then the culprit must be brought to justice. This type of work will not bring benefit to any body.Let Mangalore be peaceful as I used to see it in my college days.

Dear Kith & Kin of Robert d'souza, (Deal with him right now or put him behind bars forever.) We as Mangaloreans condemn this..It looks like this uncultured lunatic wants to gain popularity by doing such acts of communalism . His so called looks provokes me to mention he is insane .If his children are reading this comment put him to a rehabilitation centre .Even the printing press where the handbills are done should be blamed too for supporting this .

India is a secular country and every citizen of it has a right to preach and practice his religion. However it does not mean that one should defame other religions/faiths. What Mr Dsouza did is wrong and totally unacceptable and every one must condemn this. I am sure it is not Dsouza alone involved in this. Dsouza could have been used by some forces behind this. Police should go to the route of this and investigate and if convicted they should be punished. I am sure majority of christians are against Dsouza. I request the hindu brothers and sisters to forgive this lunatic and not to take law in your hands. However, in the interest of general peace and co existence, you may take up the matter with law enforcing authorities.

An elderly person, retired engineer from public service? distributing communal hatred? he is a scapegoat, some group has used him? is he or his family threatned to do this? or is he mentally incompetitive? Mangalore has enough problems, no electricity since the past few days, no more bunds and protests. when we all indians celebrate moon mission, Mangalore is going backwards as usual.Community leaders get together and ignore the nonsense and punish the culprits.

Why has he fallen in this controversy, is it deliberate? Come on Daijiworld, help us to know the truth. This is very serious, for like this incidents cause communal violence.

Only one person like mr d'souza cannot do all these things. This is another kind of propaganda by the missionaries to denigarate the hindu gods.I doubt 'New Life' is behind this.It is this type of hate propaganda by the missionaries against hindu gods which led to the attack on conversion centers in mangalore. Now where the secularists who often cry about harmony between the religions.Where are the readers of daijiworld who often write hundreds of comments on sangh parivar?

Even though his name suggests that Robert D'souza in my opinion he might have left Roman Catholic church and affiliated to other Christian prayer group which is not in the control of Roman Catholic church. In Roman Catholic church all religious literatures are controlled from Bishop's house and proper approval is required before publishing. This man seems to be either brain washed lunatic. Request the authorities to put him behind bars for rest of his life. Let him stay there forever. This is not his business to talk about other religion and hurt their feelings. In this turmoil time only insane characters can do this type of dirty job. Also authorities should investigate who are behind him. Better to know the truth so that it can be eradicated at the earliest.

Could be that some organizations want to use this as an excuse and justify a second round of attacks against Christian Institutions. This person and his sponsors should be strictly dealt with in accordance with the law. No mercy should be shown to person or persons trying to incite communal disharmony regardless of their religion, organization or political affiliations.

Hindu religion is a peaceful & much tolerable religion which is under attack from other religions by the use of money power. Hindus & christians have peaceful relation in entire country as some of our christian missionaries misguiding people by insulting hindu gods which is not at all acceptable to anyone.

Yes I do agree with Mr. Shakeer. Even Mr. Shrinath Shet is also correct. There will be a strong support in the back ground to every such development in our society. I think in behind of each such event there are bad politicians who wants to gain political profit from such incidents. Just like Bajrang Dal leader Mr. Mahendra is also made Bali ka bakra, he is not only person who is responsible to attack on the sacred churches but there is strong back ground support from others.. If the people still do not learn from these incidents it would be hard to bring peace in our nation... we had achieved Chandrayan's sucsess.. But still can not tolerate our self hastiness... Christianity is based on the fundamental principle of live and let live peacefully. Christianity neither encourages nor condones blasphemy of other Gods. This appears to be a deliberate attempt to incite further trouble in and around Mangalore region by some vested interests.

This act of condemning other religions is unpardonable. You want to support Christianity, live like a true Christian, show tolerance, love, charity and help people in need. By this type of cowardly act of distributing handbills not only disrupts the peace in the country but hurts the sentiments of the people concerned. Everyone has the right to practice their religion and no one is given the Authority to give judgement on any religion, religious people and the people who practice their religion. I endorse the view of other readers,Trace out the culprits behind this and relagate them and Mr. Robert D'Souza to Jail, so that they cease to become anti social elements.

I agree with Ramesh Puttur. If it was Hindu, by this time so many abusive comments would have poured like monsoon rain. By looking at this person we can analyse one thing, that Robert D'Souza is not an individual person behind this task. There may be many people who have supported him and brought this into action. A senior elder person alone will not do this type of risky task. Definetly there will be a team behind this motive. Very soon this has to be brought out of the dark.

Now my dear friends!!! The evidence is in front of our eyes. What do we say about such lunatics... Just look at him... He looks like a moron set to bring back those bad memories... I am religious catholic and I dont want to hurt the our sentiments. But when I see such ridiculous acts being made by my fellow-men, my blood boils. Instead of refraining from such acts, we still dont learn. Tell me one thing folks... After such things why do you think our Hindu brothers would keep quiet... If someone barges into your house and propagates bad things about your master... would you still keep quiet??? I dont think so. I suggest this Robert should be kept behind the bars forever.
