Bantwal: Agrar Don Bosco Youth Association Organizes Fr C J Aranha Memorial Tournament '08

Bantwal, Nov 15: Fr C J Aranha memorial tournament '08 was held recently at Most Holy Saviour, Agrar church ground, organized by Don Bosco Youth Association of Agrar parish for the teams of various parishes in Bantwal and Moodbidri deanery.
 
Cricket, throw ball and tug of war competitions were held at the occasion.
 


Hospet and Paladka parish teams bagged the first and second places in cricket tournaments. Hospet and Taccode parish women teams bagged the first and second places in throw ball competitions.  Mogarnad and Modankap parish teams bagged the first and second places in women's tug of war contests.  Mogarnad and Agrar parish teams bagged the first and second places in men's below 75 kg tug of war competitions while Mogarnad and Modankap parish teams bagged the first and second places in men's above 75 kg tug of war.
 
Agrar parish priest Fr Benjamin Pinto, Kumbla parish priest Fr Alban Rodrigues, Loretto parish priest Fr Cyprian Pinto, priest from Goa Fr Manohar Noronha, Agrar businessman Pius L Rodrigues, Agrar parish council vice president Cyril D Souza, Don Bosco Youth Association animators Franky D Souza and Lilly D Souza, Association president Santosh Barboza, Association sports secretary Rudolf Sequeira were present during the concluding ceremony.
 
The prizes were distributed to the winners of various competitions.
