Mangalore: Police Arrest Notorious Thief Seize Stolen Goods

Mangalore, Nov 15: Pandeshwar police led by inspector Tilakchandra have successfully arrested a notorious thief on Friday November 14, near State Bank in the city.



The arrested has been identified as John Pinto (35) and had stolen items in his possession at the time of arrest. His name already figures on the ‘rowdy sheet’ at Barke station. Many cases have been booked against him in Pandeshwar, Bunder, Urva, Kadri, Mangalore rural, Suratkal, Mulky, and Karkala, police stations. He has been convicted in some cases, informed police sources.

He was involved in stealing items from newly-built houses over the past 15 years. He has been remanded to judicial custody.
