Mangalore, Nov 14: The Dakshina Kannada district-level 55th All India Cooperative Week is being held from Friday November 14 to Thursday November 20.

P B Diwakar Rai, president, Dakshina Kannada District Co-operative Union, said that various programmes will be organized for disseminating knowledge about co-operative values and thinking, co-operative education, training, and publicity, for the members of the Co-operative Association.

The programmes have been arranged at the preparatory assembly held in the presence of M N Rajendra Kumar, president, State Apex Bank. Autonomy and competitiveness in co-operative organizations for building a better India, is the aim of the week-long event.

The programme has been arranged under the guidance of state cooperative federation and district co-operative union, said Rai. During Co-operative Week, all co-operative associations will hoist the co-operative flag on their association premises. Applications regarding memberships, loans, and other facilities, will be dealt with during the week.
