Mangalore: Workshop on Surgical Procedures at Yenepoya on Nov 15, 16

Mangalore, Nov 13: A workshop on surgical procedures will be conducted by the Yenepoya Medical College and Hospital at Deralakatte near the city on November 15 and 16.

The workshop will be conducted for the post graduate students and practising junior doctors. The procedures will be performed on cadavers, to demonstrate the surgical procedures necessary for treating the ear and sinus problems, which can lead to various other complications like ear discharge and fibroid growth in the nose, said Dr Gangadhar Somayaji, chairman, ENT department of the college, at a press conference held on Wednesday November 12.

Abdul Kunhi, vice-chancellor, Yenepoya University will inaugurate the workshop.

Dr Vjayendra and Dr Deepak Haldipur from Bangalore will participate as chief guests and demonstrate the procedures, he said.

Dr Nalapad Mohammad, ENT assistant professor and Dr Adarsh were present at the press meet.
