Margaret Alva's Allegations will not Impact Polls: S M Krishna

Deccan Herald

Bangalore, Nov 10: Defending his reported absence from the Congress meets, Rajya Sabha member S M Krishna said since he underwent an operation on his arm in London, he could not attend the meets. “It is baseless to say that I am not participating in the meets with a permanent agenda,” he remarked.

Krishna was speaking to presspersons after inaugurating Journalists’ layout in Mysore on Sunday.“If others are taking me as an example to stay away from the meetings, they too need to an undergo operation,” he quipped.
On AICC General Secretary Margaret Alva’s ‘allegation,’ Krishna stated that there is a lot of process while distributing party ticket and they depend on certain situations.

However, it is much deliberated before providing the ticket to all those applicants claiming eligibility.

“The High Command’s decision on Margaret will reflect the impact of her comments on the High Command. Hence, I would not say anything,” he observed.

Margaret Alva’s comments and the debate surrounding it would not cast its impact on the election results, he stated.

Siddu says

MLA Siddaramaiah who was also present at the inauguration said, “I would not react to Margaret’s comments, for she is a senior leader. However, I have already told that the High Command needs to take notice of her comments, as it is a serious allegation.”

On being absent to Congress meets, Siddaramaiah only said, “It is true that I have not attended. But there is no dissatisfaction. I would attend If I feel to participate. Owing to several reasons, I could not attend,” he added. He further said there is no need to give a political colour to any supporters meet.  “I am not aware about backward classes meeting to be held in Mysore. But I will extend full co-operation if it is doing so.

I think Congress should stop infighting. If this will continue in this way, I am sure Congress will never come to power in Karnataka. Alva being a Senior Minister in Congress should have not given such a statement when Congress has already lost it base in Karnataka.

Alva should have thought before giving such a Statement. BJP & Janatadal are just waiting for a chance to attack Congress and Congress Ministers are only giving them more chance by behaving in such a way. Congress pull your SOCKS.
