Mangalore: Forest Patrol Squad Seizes Deer Antlers, Pelt

Mangalore, Nov 10: The forest police patrol squad arrested one person and seized pelts and deer antlers worth Rs 1.2 lac from him at KSRTC bus stand, on Saturday November 8.

The arrested man has been identified as Purushottam (45), a resident of Sakleshpur, in Hassan district. He was nabbed at the bus stand with a bag containing four antlers and a pelt. Purushottam admitted that he had brought them to the city to be sold at a higher price.

Sub-inspector Naveenchandra Jogi, head constable Bhaskar, Shaker Patali, Sitaram, Paparam Shetty, Ashok Shetty, and Dayanand, were involved in the operation. Later, the accused was handed over to Barke station for further inquiry.
