Udupi: District-level Pratibha Karanji Inaugurated at National PU College

Udupi, Nov 8:
Zilla panchayat president Raju Poojary inaugurated the district-level Pratibha Karanji at P N Bhoja Rao memorial auditorium of National Pre-University, Barkoor, on Friday November 7. It was organized by the district zilla panchayat public instruction department in association with the National Pre-University College.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Poojary said that Pratibha Karanji programmes serve to exhibit the inborn talents of students across the district. The scope for exhibiting rural talents was limited to the annual day celebrations of their respective schools in the past, and now the Pratibha Karanji programmes provide them ample and equal opportunities to exhibit their individual talents, he said.



The programme was presided over by Kundapur MLA Halady Srinivas Shetty. Dharmaraj Shetty, chief executive officer, Unitops Group, Mumbai, flagged off the  grand rally on the occasion. Zilla panchayat member Bhujanga Shetty, taluk panchayat president Geetha G Prabhu, taluk panchayat members Satish G Poojary and Kiran Kumar, Anehalli gram panchayat president B Ramanand Shetty, Barkoor gram panchayat president Shantaram Shetty, National Pre-University College correspondent N Bhojaraj Shetty, Vidhyadhivardini Sangh president B L Roache, and principal Krishnamurti Bhat were present on the dais.
 
District deputy director of public instructions K Anand, welcomed the gathering.  Brahmavar block education officer Vasant Shetty, proposed the vote of thanks. Aroor Timmappa Shetty compered the programme.
