Mangalore: M Narendra Appointed ED Director of Bank of India

Mangalore, Nov 7:  M Narendra took over as the executive director of the public sector Bank of India on Thursday November 6. Narendra, before being appointed to this prestigious post, was functioning as the chief general manager of the city-based Corporation Bank.

Reserve Bank of India made this appointment, considering the meritorious services of Narendra, who had an impressive career graph in Corporation Bank. He hails from Kulai-Hosabettu near Suratkal in Dakshina Kannada district.

He joined Corporation Bank as an officer in 1975.  He got various promotions thereafter and worked in Mumbai, New Delhi, Gujarat etc. before working as the zonal manager in New Delhi. Thereafter, he was posted in the head office of the bank in the city. He was heading the advances department of the bank in the capacity of the chief general manager.

Narendra is known to be one of a few officers having far-sightedness and gives top priority to efficiency in banking operations. He also has been extending wholehearted support to the cultural field.
