Mangalore: Troublemaker Prisoners Shifted From City Sub Jail

Mangalore, Nov 7: The jail authorities here  have shifted two prisoners,  who allegedly  used to assault  other prisoners belonging to the minority community, to Bellary jail.

The prisoners so shifted, have been identified as Sharan Akashbhavan and Barke Charan. One more prisoner Sandeep has already been shifted to Gulbarga jail.

It may be noted,  that  recently,  two terror-suspects lodged in the sub-jail were severely assaulted. Later, the district police and the revenue department authorities had jointly conducted search operations in the jail on  November 1,  2008 and seized hemp, knives, mobile phones, iron rods and SIM cards in the jail. Later,  the jail superintend Eshwar Naik was transferred from here. Now, two prisoners have been shifted out of this jail.
