Mangalore: All Airport India Football Tournament Inaugurated

Mangalore, Nov 6: The national-level All Airport India football tournament was inaugurated at Nehru Maidan on Thursday November 6. The event has been organized by the Airport Authority of India’s (AAI) Southern Region Sports Control Board.

Inspector general of police, Ashit Mohan Prasad, inaugurated the six-day tournament. He commended AAI for conducting this tournament in the city. M R Vasudev, director, AAI, Mangalore, said that it was for the first time that such a programme was being held in the city.

Five teams, from various parts of the country, are participating in the tournament. A special match will be conducted between the top two teams on the final day of the tournament. Vijay Rangan, organizer, SRSCB, AAI, Chennai, Sunder, secretary, Airport Sports and Cultural Club, were also present on the occasion.
