Bangalore: 'Pejawar Swamiji Distorting History' - DSS

Daijiworld Media Network - Bangalore (SP)

Bangalore, Nov 4: State convener of Karnataka State Dalit Sangharsh Samiti Lakshminarayan Nagawara has strongly condemned the plea made to the dalits by the Pejawar Math Swamiji Vishweshateera, advising them not to join Buddhism.

"Pejawar Swamiji, by saying that Buddhism is a section of Hinduism, is trying to distort history. He is trying to conceal the fact the leaders of the Vedic culture of the propagators of the order of the casteism worked to destroy Buddhism from the country," he alleged.

Under any circumstances, Buddhism is not a part of Hinduism. It is a different religion having its own identity altogether, Nagawara asserted. He has also questioned the genuineness of the description of Buddhism as made by the Pejawar Swamiji, that Buddhism believes the world to be a myth.

Hinduism is corrupted by ignorance, superstition, hoary beliefs, inequality and untouchability. There is a need for the Swamiji to realize the scientific superiority of Buddhism over other religions, he added. He also blamed the Swamiji for his misguided advice made to the dalits to join the Arya Samaj, which is a part of the Vedic culture of Hinduism.

Lakshminarayan added that Dr Baba Saheb Ambedkar has correctly guided the dalits towards Buddhism, the religion that is rich in human values and follows principles of equality.

Pejawar Swamiji has to improve his knowledge or he has to send Japan, Korea, Thailand or Honkong to study the realy Buddhism. In Budhism there is no sub caste like brahmin or Daliths. All are human beings and clean blessed by GOD.

I think DSS convenor forgot to read or confused with the scripture and history of Budhism. Also it is good if he knows the difference between him (the political) and Pejavar seer (religious) .

I totally agree with shri. Laxminarayan, Dalit convenor of Karnataka. I am a Roman catholic by commitment and not by choice. Had I not been born as a RC Catholic, I would have definitely embraced Buddhism.
