Sullia, Nov 3: A Rajyotsava celebration was organized by the Dakshina Kannada Tamil Seva Sangh at KVG Town Hall on Saturday November 1.

Speaking after inaugurating the programme, professor and litterateur Dr Prabhakar Shishila, said that developmental thinking starts when a feeling of instability arises. There is a need to raise instability in the Kannada-speaking people, he stressed.

Though Sullia received two Rajyotsava awards and the Kannada language retained its national status, celebrations are not conducted. Kannada union supporters are unexcited. But Tamil organizations are celebrating Kannada Rajyotsava and this is a matter of shame for others, he added.

Dr U P Shivanand and Krishnan Kallaje, were felicitated. M B Sadashiva, president of trade union, presided over the function. Rajiv Rai. S N Manmata, Dr B Raghu, Shivakumar, T Perumal, Sumati Shaktivelu, and Chandrakumar, were present at the event.
