Puttur: Indira Gandhi Death Anniversary Observed

Puttur, Nov 1: The Uppinangady unit of the youth Congress observed the former prime minister Indira Gandhi's death anniversary on Friday October 31.

On the occasion, rice and cereals were distributed to the economically backward families of the region.

The programme was inaugurated by handing over a food kit to Manku, a handicapped person belonging to the economically backward classes, residing in Kajekkaru schedule caste colony, by the president of the local youth congress unit, Ashraf Bastikar. Similar kits were distributed to five families.

President of Uppinangady gram panchayat Abdul Rahiman, members U K Ibrahim, Shekar Poojary, Ravi, Mohammad Kempi and Abdul Razak were present
