Puttur, Nov 1: Diwakar Acharya, a lecturer in Uppinangady pre-university college, received the district level best teacher award recently.
Lecturers Diwakar Acharya and Jaycee Achievement Award winner Gopal Shetty were felicitated in a programme organised by the college for for their distinctive achivements.
National award winning headmaster B V Shagrittaya felicitated the lecturers. Principal Prof Gopal Gowda presided over the function.
Retired teacher A A Razaq, teachers H S Karunakara, Subrahmanya Bhat, Parvati, Pushpavati, K T Tyampanna Shetty and students congratulated Diwakar Acharya and Gopala Shetty for their rare feat.
Teacher Chikkanna welcomed the gathering, while Vinayak Bhat proposed vote of thanks.
