Udupi, Oct 31: A person who was staying in Central Lodge on the Masjid Road in the city was found dead in his room under mysterious circumstances. The deceased has been identified as Sangamesh (40) from Haliyal in Uttara Kannada district.
The man hired the room on October 28. The room boy noticed on Thursday October 30 that he had fallen down from his cot and that blood was oozing out of his nose. Although he was immediately admitted to hospital, he could not be saved as he died of excessive bleeding, the policemen said.
It is suspected that his nose was badly hurt when he fell from the cot. A case has been registered at the town police station here. The policemen suspect this to be a case of suicide.
