Udupi: Bus-Autorickshaw Collision : Six Injured

Udupi, Oct 31: Six persons were injured after an autorickshaw and a bus were involved in a head-on collision at Koppalangadi near Kaup on the night of Wednesday October 29.

The Bangalore-bound bus which started from Udupi, hit the rickshaw moving from Ucchila towards Udupi. Passengers of the rickshaw, Nagesh, Shakuntala, Sumangala, Savitri, Shubhalakshmi and Ramu were injured in the accident.

When the policemen were taking the bus to the police station after the incident, a few people pelted stones at the bus and assaulted the bus driver Subrahmanya and injured him.

A case has been registered at Kaup police station.
