Udupi: Trains on Konkan Line to Gain Speed from November 1

Udupi, Oct 30: As the rainy season comes to a close, trains moving on the Konkan Railway Line will revert to their pre-monsoon timings from November 1 onwards.

The first train to gain speed will be the train no.2619 - Matsyagandha Express that leaves Kurla at 2.05 pm on November 1. It will reach Mangalore at 6.15 the next morning. The Matsyagandha Express No. 2620 that leaves Mangalore at 2.40 pm on November 1, will reach Kurla at 6.35 am on November 2.

Through a press statement, Udupi Railway Travellers Association president R L Dais has requested the commuters to note the revised timings of the Konkan trains by referring to the All India Trains-at-a-glance time table from November 1 onwards.

    Thanks for the . However, my comments are regarding the poor service of trains on the KR route. Till some years, the KR was praised for running some of the fastest trains in India, viz the Jan Shatabdi and Rajdhani. However, it is a pity considering the fact that these trains are stopped at crossings to make way for goods trains/mail/express trains. It is sad to see these trains run 2/3 hours behind schedule. I only hope this year these trains will run as per the times on paper. Thank you

    Thanks for the information on the Matsyagandha revised timings. OUR GREATEST WORRY TILL DATE IS TO RESTORE LADIES GENERAL COMPARTMENT IN THE MATSYAGANDA EXPRESS MANGALORE MUMBAI WHICH IF STARTED WILL GIVE A GREAT RELIEF TO ALL WOMEN CHILDREN PASSENGERS. AWAITING AN EARLY COMPLIANCE
