Beltangady, Oct 30: It is learnt, that two youth from Beltangady taluk have been taken into custody by the personnel of the district crime intelligence bureau, in connection with the recent incident of shoot out in the office of Worldwide Shipping Agency in Kuloor, Mangalore. A few youth had barged into the agency office and threatened of dire consequences in case of failure to pay 'hafta', which was demanded the name of Ravi Poojary, a notorious underworld gangster. The youth had fired in the air before disappearing from the scene.
The accused arrested have been identified as Roopesh(29), son of Narayan Moolya from Kolpedabail in Malady village and Ismail from Shaktinagar. The arrests were affected on the evening of Tuesday October 28.
