Mangalore: Urwa Mariamma Temple to Get Facelift

Mangalore, Oct 30: The management of Urwa Sri Mariamma temple in the city has planned to construct a new portico and Rashi Mantapa for the temple at a cost of over Rs 40 lac.

Through a presss release, managing trustee of the temple Gopalakrishna Suvarna Boloor said that the foundation stone for the works will be laid on Friday October 31.

Managing director of Yojak India Company Jagadish Boloor and his wife Bharati will lay the foundation stone at 10.30 am on that day. Advocate K P Vasudev Rao will preside over the function to be held on the occasion. M Shivprasad, Girija Sharma, G Divya Darshan and Prakash Shetty will participate as chief guests, the release said.

Gopalakrishna Suvarna also added that the projects are being taken up with the support and encouragement of the devotees of the Goddess.
