Udupi, Oct 28:
Despite policemen guarding two houses at Laxminagar, on Malpe Road, near Santekatte, following a threat by some unidentified persons recently, the same miscreants seem to have succeeded in pasting a threatening letter on the wall of one of the houses. The incident came to light on the morning of Monday October 27.

Sources informed that the policemen were away from 6.30 am to 7.30 am on Monday, having their breakfast from a nearby restaurant, during that time. The letter was noticed by Shakuntala, wife of Sadashiv Poojary. He informed the policemen of this as soon as they returned to their duty.

The unidentified persons have threatened to kill the family as they had informed the police. Town police sub-inspector Maruti Ganapathy Nayak visited the spot and recovered the threatening letter. Further investigations are underway.
