Mangalore, Oct 28: ‘Karishma’, the camel, which used to entertain children and adults alike on Panambur beach, is no more. It died in a road accident at Nelamangala, near Bangalore, recently.

Karishma had been an attraction on the beach here since a few years. She was one of two camels who would arrive on Panambur beach soon after the monsoons. At the onset of the rains the camels would make their way back to Nelamangala.

Sources said that Karishma had wandered on to the highway and a vehicle hit her severely injuring the animal. She later succumbed to her injuries.
