Mangalore: Seminar on 'Futures and Options' Held

Mangalore, Oct 25: A seminar on ‘Futures and Options—What it means and how it works’, was held at Karnataka Bank Auditorium on Saturday October 25.

It was organized by the Institute of Company Secretaries of India, Mangalore chapter.

Addressing the gathering, chief guest Prof Radhakrishna Sharma, associate professor, Justice KS Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte, said many investors have no knowledge about the capital market. Therefore, they are losing money. They need to have awareness about futures and options to profit from their investment, he added.

The seminar was sponsored by the ministry of corporate affairs under the investor education and protection fund and investor awareness quarter. Ullas Kumar, chairman, Mangalore chapter, Institute of Company Secretaries of India, was present.
