Udupi: Policeman Knocked Down to Death by Speeding Truck

Udupi, Oct 24: In an accident that occurred on the national highway 17 near Halima Sabju Auditorium in Udyavar near here at around 5.45 am on Friday October 24, a DR policemen who was proceeding towards his residence on a motor bike, lost his life.

Prakash Paniyoor (30), working as driver in the 'Garuda' police patrol vehicle, was returning home after attending to night duty. His motor bike was hit by a truck. He was unmarried.

His body was taken to Udupi government hospital.
