Mangalore: One held at Bunder for Selling Hemp

Mangalore, Oct 23: A special squad headed by deputy superintendent of police, Dharmaiah, arrested one person for selling hemp in the city on Thursday October 23.

The arrested person has been identified as Satish (35) from Kerala. He was arrested in Bunder area while peddling hemp. The police seized 146 sachets of hemp worth around Rs 5,000, from him.

He already has three cases booked against him in various city police stations. Satish has been handed over to the custody of Pandeshwar police. Sub inspector Narayan Byndoor, head constable Umesh Hosolike, constables Sundar Achar, Chatan Botyadi, Harishchandra, and Ravi participated in the operation.
