Udupi: Koti-Chennayya Theme Park - Foundation Ceremony on Oct 25

Udupi, Oct 24: The foundation stone for the Koti-Chennayya Theme Park at Karkala in Udupi district will be laid by Home Minister V.S. Acharya on October 25.

The park would portray the life, times and achievements of the legendary heroes of Tulu Nadu, Koti and Chennayya, according to sources. The Government has allocated Rs. 1 crore for the park coming up on a 100-acre plot in Karkala town.

The theme park will have the statues of Koti and Chennayya, a model of a “garodi” (prayer hall), 34 oil paintings, depicting the life and times of Koti and Chennayya, an open theatre, library, herbal garden, and a folk institute, according to sources.

    Very all the best for the Ceremony, we all Karkalites wish to see some developments in the 600 years old city with big history and four major religion with famous worship places like Attur,AS and Venkataramana temple , Gomateshwara betta and Chaturmukha Basadi and the beautiful ramasamudra, anekere, the city which produced ex CM of the state and the bold Inspector of police Mumbai crime branch.

    Thanks to Mr. Moily the city is still neglected even after having rich natural beauty ... tens of education institutes, and banks .Dear Mr.Bhandary please make sure to do every possible effort for the development keeping in mind a only seat allotted to Cong in undivided DK.
