Chinese shares open lower

Beijing, Sep 6 (IANS): Chinese stocks opened lower on Thursday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.25 per cent to open at 2,697.58 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.4 per cent lower at 8,369.3 points, Xinhua news agency reported.
