Mangalore: Meritorious Students Felicitated at Sri Venkatramana Temple

Mangalore, Oct 23:
Sri Veera Venkatesha Charitable Trust, P Dayananda Pai, and P Satish Pai Trust, Bangalore, organized a felicitation programme for meritorious students of SSLC, PUC and degree courses recently, at Sri Venkataramana Temple, Car Street.
 
A total of 58 students from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts were felicitated on the occasion. They were presented with a silver medal, a certificate of appreciation, and a cash award of Rs 2,000 each for SSLC students, Rs 3,000 for PUC students and Rs 5,000 for rank holders.


 
P Dayananda Pai was the chief guest of the programme. Speaking on the occasion, he said that youngsters have ample opportunity to succeed in every field.  He added that instead of aspiring to become a doctor or an engineer, one should choose something that interests one.

Pai said that hard work was key to success. Besides studies, one should nurture good culture and utilize one’s knowledge for the betterment of society, he added. MLA Yogish Bhat also spoke on the occasion and congratulated all the students on their achievement.
 
Mohini Dayananad Pai, C L Shenoy, Madhav Kamath, Nithyananda Nayak, and Manjunath Shenoy were present on the dais. Sri Veera Venkatesha Charitable Trust secretary T Ganapathi Pai welcomed the gathering while Umesh Mallya proposed the vote of thanks. Ganesh Prasad Mallya compered the programme.
