Sullia: Taluk in Darkness Since 48 Hours

Daijiworld Media Network - Sullia (SP)

Sullia, Oct 21: Sampaje and surrounding villages have been reeling under darkness since the last two days, as the power supply, which was snapped, was never restored since Saturday October 19. The electricity supply was cut due to heavy rains and wind two days ago.

Sullia town is forced to live with power since Sunday evening. Till Monday evening, there was no inkling as to when the power supply would be restored.

The taluk has been receiving rains coupled with thunder and lightning since a few days. On Monday too, several regions of the taluk got heavy rains, creating problems for both the people and the personnel of the Mescom.

The people are uniting to stage a protest, if the situation does not improve by today evening.
