M'lore: Ex-president of Mulki Town Panchayat Shekhar V Kotian No More

Mangalore, Oct 21: Veteran social worker, noted leader of Billava community and president of Mulki Town Panchayat for more than 25 years, Shekhar V Kotian (67), breathed his last on Monday October 20, due to cardiac arrest, at his residence in Mulki Bappanadu.

He is survived by wife and six daughters. Kotian had worked for several development projects of Mulki Bappanad temple.  He had also functioned as the trustee of Lalita Rukkaram Salian Trust which runs Sri Narayanaguru school here and as the president of Mulki Co-operative Bank. He was known for his Bhajans and used to visit religious centres with his Bhajans troupe, to offer services.

    Very sad to note the demise of Shekaranna. We really lost a true social worker. I Pray Almighty to rest the departed soul in eternal peace.
