Moodbidri: 'Goodudeepa' Contest at Samaj Mandir on Oct 26

Moodbidri, Oct 21: A contest for making 'Goodudeepa' as per the Indian traditions, will jointly be organized by the Ganiga Service Society and Ganiga Youth Forum, at the Samaj Mandir here on  Sunday October 26 at 9 am.

On the occasion of Diwali festival, the 'Goodudeepa' contest will be conducted  for two categories. There  will be three prizes and shields, in both the categories, one meant for the public and the other for community members.

The participants should themselves bring colour paper and such other items required for decorations to the 'Goodudeepas'. They will get two hours for the purpose.The time allotted will be two hours and all necessary material should be bought the participants.

President of Ganiga Service Society Sadashiva Bangera will preside over the concluding ceremony to be held in the evening. Businessman Sripati Bhat and president of district Ganiga Association Krishnappa Mendon will participate as the Chief guest, said the Forum members.
