Kasargod, Oct 18: The BJP gave a call for general strike here, in protest against the murder of a Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader at Tiruvanantapuram. on Friday October 17.

The Rastriya Swayamsevak Sangh leader Ranjit (28) was murdered near Nalanchira of Tiruvanantapuram on the night of Thursday October 16.

Ranjit was named as the second accused in the case relating to the  brutal murder of DYFI activist Vishwanathan (30) resident of Vanjiyoor, who was hacked to death five months ago.
