Udupi, Oct 18: Fakir Bava, also known in local circles as Fakirappa(40), who has now been arrested by the police on charges of having connections with the terrorists, used to visit his native place often since a year, even though he was employed at Sharjah, and used to organize local youth, the locals said.

Fakir is the eldest of the six sons of late Guddan Ahmed Saheb residing in Beary Bittilu located on Narayanaguru Road of Ucchila Muloor near Kaup. The family was in dire straits in the past, and used to earn a living by engaging in fish vending in shimoga and Sringeri. After Fakir went abroad, he took his younger brother too with him. Later, he demolished the tiny house of the family and built a big home.

Marriage of two of his brothers had been conducted a week back. He had been on a visit here in connection with these functions and the policemen nabbed him on this occasion, it is said.

He is the main promoter of a local organization. Although he did not have any dealins with locals, during his visit, various persons from other places came in vehicles to meet him. His behaviour used to be suspect, they say. There are rumours that he used to spread information about jehad to  and other activities to the local youth, through the laptop.

I agree with you totally Mr. Harold. This is a plain case of fooling the public by the police to save their image by targetting the poor and weak youth.  Most of items DISPLAYED by the police before the media can be seen everywhere. For example the tents displayed in photographs are once used in winter in the gulf by children to play around.Foolish are the ways in which people flaunt themselves

Never in Karnataka History has this happened. Person who is working in Sharjah and visiting his family very often are targeted by the police saying that he has connection with the terrorist. On holidays keeping in contacts with the local youths seems like crime. Local youth might want job in Middle East. Without knowing the truth how can police can arrest.? His local area people might be definitely jealous as he has built a big house working hard in the Middle East.

This is nothing but barbaric act of the police. Who is going to compensate his loss of income, his family pain and his future? For BJP everything is suspicious. This is exactly what the government is doing as they wear black glass and the entire world is looking like black for them.
