Mangalore: Forum Formed to Wean Youth Away from Terrorism

Mangalore, Oct 18: A 'Forum for Rights and Justice,' has been formed with the coming together of various Muslim organizations. The Forum wants to prevent the youth from getting wooed by terrorists. District Wakf committee chairman Y Mohammed Kunhi will be heading the Forum. The Forum will have 20 executive members.

Briefing the newsmen on Friday October 17, vice-president of the district Wakf committee Muzaffer Ahmed said that the Forum will not only guide the youth towards the right path but will also be providing legal aid to innocent victims of police wrongs.

Convener of the Forum Ummer U H said, that the Forum will be asking the religious leaders to keep advising the youth not to deviate from the path of righteousness, as the youngsters generally respect what the religious leaders say.
