Udupi, Oct 18: It is reliably learnt, that local MP Manorama Madharaj has decided to resign from her Lok Sabha membership before it is taken away by the speaker, for making an honourable exit both from the parliament and her party, the BJP. After the BJP MP from the state H T Sangliana's membership of the house was cancelled, Madhwaraj was sure to lose her membership sooner or later.
Manorama has got indications that her membership will be cancelled during the next week. To avert this ignonimity and to score a point by walking away before the orders are issued, she may submit her resignation on Monday, October 20.
She has given indications of holding a press conference here, after her arrival from New Delhi on Tuesday October 21.
