Udupi, Oct 18: The state government has appointed ex-municipal president and BJP leader B Sudhakar Shetty as the chairman of Udupi Urban Development Authority.

Shetty, a progressive farmer and owner of Hotel Sharada International here, is also associated with the district Volleyball Association and district Wine Merchants Association as president. He will take charge at 9.30 am on Monday October 20, in the presence of dignitaries.
