Mangalore: Ranipura Parishioner Fr Alex D’Souza Ordained Priest

Mangalore, Oct 18:
Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza ordained deacon Alex D’Souza, a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of the Universe church, Ranipura, near here, as priest in an ordination ceremony held at the church on Thursday October 16. 
 
The Bishop anointed Fr Alex as servant of God during the Eucharistic Mass offered along with Fr Valerian Menezes, parish priest, Our Lady Queen of the Universe, rector Fr Seby Mascarenhas, and Mangala Jyoti director Fr Boniface Pinto.



Fr Sunil D’Souza and parish council vice-president Anil Sebastian D’Souza felicitated Fr Alex in a programme held at the parish hall, after the Holy Mass. 
 
Fr Alex was born in St Antony ward of Ranipura parish on May 20, 1971. He pursued priestly studies at various seminaries across the country. The parishioners were overjoyed that one among them was called to serve God and ordained as priest.
 
The family members of Fr Alex and a large number of parishioners were present at the  ordination ceremony and the felicitation programme.
