Mangalore, Oct 17: Well spread-out rain was experienced in the city on the night of Thursday October 16. Thunder, lightning and breeze marked the rainfall.

Suratkal and some parts of Sullia district received good rains. Almost the entire Bantwal taluk got the rain. So far, no reports of loss of life or property have been reported. Even the city received heavy showers coupled with thunder and lightning late in the night. Though it drizzled for sometime late in evening, heavy showers drenched the city only in the late night. Frequent power cuts along with thunder and lightning marked the rainfall.
