Mangalore, Oct 17: The 11th Dakshina Kannada district conference of the Democratic Youth Federation of India(DYFI) will be held in AKG Bhavan in the city on Sunday October 19.

The president of Dakshina Kannada State Unit of the Federation Muneer Katipalla said, that the district conference is being conducted once every three years and priliminary preparations by way of taluk level conferences  and meeting of the district unit have been conducted.

Dr Bhaskar Mayya will inaugurate the state conference and about 100 selected delegates from the state will participate.

The communal and terrorist activities that have been rocking the state since the last few weeks and other topics will be discussed at the conference. The measures to be taken for the people' agitation will also be decided. On this occasion the new district committee of the organisation will also be formed, he said.
