Udupi: "Congress has Never Opposed Anti-terrorist Activities" - Murthy

Daijiworld Media Network - Udupi (SP)

Udupi, Oct 17: District Congress general secretary B Narasimha Murthy, while driving home the point that targetting a single party for terrorist activities is not justified, argued that the state government took measures to stop attacks on churches, only after the union government intervened in the matter.

Law enforcement authorities work within their own framework for decimating terrorism. The coastal people, who have been shocked due to the unexpected attacks on churches, need not give importance to the contradicting statements being issued by the state BJP president, he said.

The BJP seems to be hatching a conspiracy for cornering votes of the majority community, by painting Congress as a pro-minority party, by alleging that the Congress leaders have been silent over the issue of arresting terrorist activites, he felt.
